Ashley Flannegan (Ensemble)

Ashley is just tickled pink to be an ensemble member at Unexpected Productions. She is a sassy Irish girl with a background in theatre and a propensity for talking too loudly. As a little girl Ashley wanted to play in the dirt, be a ballet dancer, fight monsters and have a pet snake. Becoming an actor seemed like the best next step to achieving those goals, so she set out on a path that would lead her to a BA in Theatre Arts from The University of Arizona (very dusty with a lot of snakes – check). From there she went to PCPA Theatrefest in California where she was inexplicably cast frequently as a dancer despite her tiny T-Rex sized arms and awkward signature dance moves involving household tasks such as “mowing the lawn” and “fishing” (not quite ballet – but check). In 2007 she took the plunge and moved to Seattle where she worked predominately in scripted theatre at places like Seattle Musical Theatre, GreenStage, Balagan and Book-It Repertory Theatre. In 2012 her dream of fighting monsters finally came true when she joined the cast of “Final Fantasy: The Improvised Adventures” at Unexpected Productions. Ashley is extremely proud and humbled to be part of a company with such a rich and vital improv history, and she is particularly grateful to have found such a wildly creative and supportive artistic home where she can finally put her big mouth to use.
