At Unexpected Productions and The Improv School, we are taking the potential of the coronavirus in King County seriously. We want to ensure our patrons and students that we are committed to a thorough cleaning regimen of high-traffic areas in our theatre and classrooms to protect the health and safety of our audience, students, teachers, improvisers and staff members.
We have taken on a deep cleaning and sanitizing of the theatre, lobby and our school classrooms. We will continue to do so daily while also paying attention to the commonly touched surfaces like door handles, railings, seats, faucets and ticketing equipment. We have sanitized wipes available for patron use at the bar and box office. We have soap and hot water in all of our restroom facilities.
We suggest that you can help prevent the spread of coronavirus and other contagions this spring by:
- Thoroughly and carefully washing your hands before and after arriving at the theater. Washing hands often with soap and water for 20 seconds. If not available, use hand sanitizer. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands. Avoid contact with people who are sick. Cover your mouth/nose with a tissue or sleeve when coughing or sneezing.
- Staying home if you have a fever, cough, or any other serious symptoms (email or message us if you need to stay home- we will not penalize you for staying home if you’re sick).
If local health authorities issue advice urging folks to stay home or avoid non-essential activities, we will respond appropriately and may cancel shows and other scheduled activities in order to protect the health and safety of our community. But right now, we are performing as scheduled and look forward to creating some laugher with you.
Just like improv, we can’t do this without you. Thank you for being a part of the Unexpected Productions community.
