A Back Line: A Musical Improv

Join us for an exciting, improvised sensation called A Back Line, a Broadway-inspired comedy. In this show, a group of hopeful performers stand in a line, waiting for something they desire. It’s like Broadway’s A Chorus Line, but our improvisers are in a completely different kind, like grocery checkout or the post office. Through your suggestions, we explore their hopes, dreams, and the reasons behind their strong desire for this thing, each night through improvised songs, stories, dance, and laughter.

This show was created in 2019 for Unexpected Production and is directed by Tiffany Hitt, with musical direction by Alex Engelberg, and features dramaturge Christine Riipi. Don’t miss it!
