An Improvised Man: Ray Bradbury Improvised
February 3 @ 8:30 pm - 10:00 pmFree - $10.00
The Improvised Man is performed in the style of Ray Bradbury. Bradbury was a known for his “Twilight Zone-type” work in science fiction, dystopian fiction, horror, and his pulp fiction stories (Fahrenheit 451, The October Country, I Sing the Body Electric!, Something Wicked This Way Comes). Each show consists of three stories tied together by a single theme from YOU, the audience, but otherwise unrelated, all framed by a host.
Bradbury is known for recurring themes like individuals of giving up one’s individual rights, the government is the enemy of creativity, darkness is to be feared, robots are not our friends, and clowns, carnivals and sideshows are the scariest things of all. See these themes and more in The Improvised Man.
Ray Bradbury said, “Jump off the cliff and build your wings on the way down.”
