Vonnegut Unexpected: Kurt Vonnegut Improvised

September 1 @ 8:30 pm - 10:00 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 8:30 pm on Sunday, repeating until September 29, 2019

Every Sunday, the veteran improvisers of Unexpected Productions bring you a new improvised play, based on the work of American writer and humanist Kurt Vonnegut (Cat’s CradleSlaughterhouse-Five and Breakfast of Champions). Vonnegut is known for his satirical literary style, humor and the science-fiction elements in much of his work. He once said, “We have to continually be jumping off cliffs and developing our wings on the way down.” Each week the improvisers will new create a fun improvised play based on whatever the chemicals are in the audience’s brains creating their suggestions. We will tell a story by jumping around in time, while anyone in the cast explores humans and the lovely (and awful) things they do.  Hi ho.
